FIFTH GRADE BAND
​Grayling Elementary School

Meet twice per week for 30 minutes each class period.

All fifth grade students participate in band!

Students perform a concert in mid-May to demonstrate their musical skills

EIGHTH GRADE BAND
Grayling Middle School​

Meet each day of the school year for 56 minutes

Full band experience with opportunities for small group and solo work

Refinement of music fundamentals

Required performances in the evening: Christmas Concert (December) , Spring Concert (May), Solo and Full Band Performance night (March)
SIXTH GRADE BAND

Separate classes for woodwinds/ percussion, brass

Review and develop music fundamentals

Develop team building concepts to see how the different instrument groups are so important to a band
HIGH SCHOOL BAND
Grayling High School​

Meet each day for 70 minutes

Full band experience in marching band, concert band. Other opportunities include pep band, solo and ensemble, jazz band

Optional opportunities include MSBOA District 2 Honors Band, among a wide variety of other experiences.

Marching Band includes Marching Band Camp at Lake Superior State University, the week following the Au Sable River Festival/Canoe Marathon.
