One of the most fun events each year for the students. They perform their half time show for audience members of parents, friends, and band students from our Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association (MSBOA) District 2.
This activity is held at Thirlby Field, in Traverse City, MI.

Each section of the HS Band dresses up in costume to a theme set by each section. A "competition" for the best section unity and best individual costume are very important with this activity. The importance does not stop there. There are several performances throughout the day, all with special meaning:

Grayling Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. For the patients and staff.

Mercy Manor Nursing Home. For their patients and staff.

Grayling Elementary School Fifth Grade. All 5th Grade students take Band in Grayling. This is the first time they see a band and can find the instrument they play!

The 1:00 pm Grayling Elementary School Parade. The band leads all of the Grayling Elementary Students from Michigan Avenue to downtown Grayling.

The 1:40 pm Grayling Middle School Assembly Performance for the end of October Testing Month!
